team at Alaska's Naknek Anglers brings dedication

satisfaction. The four
individuals who make up the team have a combined 52
years of experience in the Alaska sportfishing
industry. Their first responsibility is maintaining
a superior level of service that each and every day
provides customers with an angling adventure that
meets their needs and desires. Don Meahan -
Owner/Operator Don Meahan has
spent the last 16 years specializing in
accommodating sportfishing enthusiasts in Bristol
Bay, Alaska. His experience includes guiding and
managing for two of the area's premier fly-out
lodges. Don has honed expertise in providing client
satisfaction and meeting the needs of fisherman
while providing lodge services to hundreds of
visitors during each of these seasons. Having guided
upon virtually every fishing destination within the
Bristol Bay region, Don has acquired valuable
first-hand knowledge of the location and habits of
all targeted Alaska fish species. His knowledge of
the resource, the destinations, and the fishing
techniques will be what makes your fishing
adventure a great one. Don enjoys
sharing his favorite sport with novices as well as
experts. He and his wife, Angie, are devoted
full-time to the successful operation of Alaska's
Naknek Anglers. Angie Meahan -
Hospitality Manager Fine-tuning
arrangements for your comfort and enjoyment behind
the scenes is the responsibility of Angie Meahan.
Angie was born in Alaska and grew up just outside
of Anchorage. She and Don met 11 years ago while
working at a fishing lodge. The couple has worked
together, accommodating sportfisherman, in Bristol
Bay Alaska ever since. Angie's
experience with lodge operations enables her to
manage your special request needs, support guest
reservations, and keep the office administration
running smoothly. You'll find her glad to attend to
your needs and anxious to make your visit to Alaska
a memorable experience. Steve Pogany -
Chief Pilot Born and raised
in Alaska, Steve Pogany is Chief Pilot and oversees
all aircraft operations. He was brought up in the
Alaska sportfishing industry and for over 16 years
has been flying and guiding in the Bristol Bay
region of Alaska. Steve brings in-depth knowledge
of the territory and the resources as well as a
wealth of aviation and outdoor experience to the
operation. An accomplished
pilot of both float and wheel-equipped aircraft, he
has logged thousands of hours of accident-free
flying in the Alaska bush. At all times, Steve's
top priorities are your safety and
comfort. Chris Drews -
Head Guide Chris Drews began
guiding for Don eight years ago. They've worked
together in the Bristol Bay region ever since.
During the winter months, Chris guides fly fishing
trips in the warmer climate of Chile. Needless to
say, he takes the guiding profession and fishing
very seriously. An expert in both
fly - and spin-fishing, Chris gets you into fish
when others can't. He is a friendly and patient
instructor who always goes the extra mile for each
and every guest. His well-rounded skills and
techniques guarantee that each day you spend on the
stream with him will be fun, rewarding, and
productive. In addition to
his daily guiding duties, Chris is also responsible
for the maintenance and upkeep of all lodge fishing
equipment, and the oversight and direction of the
guide staff. |
